Life is full of miracles

Today is Sunday and we have Church at 1:00. Dad is at a PEC meeting ,so I thought I would check the blogs I love being able to read all your thoughts and whats been going on in your lives!!!!!
This morning I was thinking about blessing and miracles that happen in our lives , and how when we were younger I knew that we had blessings in our lives but I really did'nt get it! Now that we're OLDER we have so much more quiet time to really ponder and feel the spirit. To realize the hand of the Lord in everything we do and in everyday! When the kids were at home there was always so much to do, from the time we woke up till we went to bed and then of course that was no guarantee. I can remember saying I'm so glad that worked out or that we were able to have that happen but know now that the Lords hand is in every thing we do he is always there to guide and direct us. It is amazing to me how much he loves us and wants us to succeed. As a young convert I remember how I was Always so inpressed with the older member of the Church and how much wisdom they had. I think it's now that they don't have so many distractions that they can feel the spitit so much louder and clearer. I think about the fraise to stop and ponder the scriptures as you read them . I think thats what we need to do at the end of every day to ponder the miracles the Lord have given you if its only been to get through the day.
I know I'm rambling and that this might not make much sense but looking back on my younger life I don't think I stopped enough and pondered what a blessing and miracle each day in my life was. I love our life and our children and grandchildren so much and what a blessing and miracle it is to be surrounded my such great spirit children of my Heavenly Father.

surgery date set

Today we went to the doctor and learned all about my hip surgery. It will be a total hip replacement . the procedure takes about 2 hrs. to do, from the time they take me in it will be about 5 hrs. till I'll be in my room. From what he said they do a 6 to 7 inch incision on the side of my hip LEFT SIDE . The day after my surgery they get me up and I have therapy twice that day and the next. If things go well I'll be in the hospital 3 to 4 days. After that hopefully it will be all up hill and lots of hell to go thru. It's pretty scary to me but I sure things will go allright.
We had Kimber stay with us over the weekend. She needed a little time away from her big btother and just to have a little time to herself. We really enjoyed having her here, it was nice to have a girl to talk to.
We brought the van down from Beckys but we have to have some work done on it, but it will be the best thing for me to get into after my surgery, so we are going to sell the pink car. We should get enough money from it to buy snow tires for the van.

Well, this is my second attempt at trying to get my blog up. Yesterday I lost the whole thing. So It’s been real warm still and all the snow is almost gone. Our basement had about 4 inches of water in it so we had to move all the stuff that wasn’t in totes. What a mess! But this morning it all seeped into the ground. After Dad had rented a sump pump. Oh well.
Yesterday I was feeling pretty low and I didn’t think I could take another day of rain and darkness. In fact I thought I could use vacation. But decided maybe if I bought myself some flowers I would feel better, but then I never went to the store. When Dad came home he brought me a beautiful bunch of yellow roses. I told him he must of read my mind. What an awesome MAN111111
Monday I go to the surgeon, so I should know when I’m going to have my surgery. We did find out that this program I’m on only covers the doctor sooooooooo hopefully we’ll be able to get reduction from the hospital! But whatever.
Matt got into a drug rehab program so he’s happy about that. It meets 2 days a week, he’ll get more info at his first meeting.
We’re still trying to find a place for Joe to live that’s not too expensive, but that’s a tall order.
Today is a better day emotionally than yesterday, the sun was shining and that all ways helps.

HAD TO TEACH RS TODAY. IT WAS A LESSON ON HOW TO BE A GOOD LEADER. I TAUGHT IT IN RELATIONSHIP TO WOMEN USING LEADERSHIP IN THIER LIVES. IT MADE ME THINK OF ALL MY GIRLS AND THE GREAT JOBS YOU ARE ALL DOING TO BE GREAT LEADERS IN YOUR FAMILIES, SHOWING LOVE, GIVING SERVICE AND TO TEACH YOUR FAMILIES BY THE SPIRIT OF THE HOLY GHOST. BUT MOSTLY BY EXAMPLE!

I LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH AND I'M SO GREATFUL THAT THE LORD LET YOU ALL COME TO OUR FAMILY. I KNOW OUR LIVES HAVE NOT BEEN EASY BUT THE LORD GIVES US TRIALS AND THEN WATCHES TO SEE WHAT WE DO WITH THEM!

YOU ARE ALL MEASURING UP AND I KNOW THE LORD IS PROUD OF YOU AND SO AM I! HANG IN THERE AND PRAY FOR THE LORD TO HELP YOU BE STRONG AND FAITHFUL. YOU ALL HAVE GREAT TESTIMONIES AND......
